THE MEMBERS OF THE STORMONT YACHT CLUB CORDIALLY INVITES YOU TO ATTEND THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY ON SATURDAY JUNE 23, 2018
Okay folks, it’s time to get serious… SERIOUS ABOUT HAVING FUN!
The committee planning the celebration to mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of Stormont Yacht Club has been planning a fun filled day for everyone. In 1958, it was only a dream. Today, we’re trying to contact any former members who are no longer on our mailing list so we can invite them to join the current membership for an afternoon and evening to renew old friendships and enjoy good food, good music and good fun.
In keeping with the year the Club was founded, we’ve chosen the 50’s as the theme for the event, so get out your bobby socks, saddle shoes and poodle skirts (not likely)!
The day gets underway at noon when the local Sea Cadets raise the colours. The afternoon will be filled with games for all ages, racing for both the cruiser class and the Mini 12’s, and socializing.
O’Neill’s Pub will be catering the dinner. Prime rib, chicken breast, Caesar, potato and macaroni salad, roast potatoes, vegetable medley, rolls and dessert.
In the evening, get out your dancing shoes and ‘rock around the clock’. AJ Villeneuve will provide us with music for your listening pleasure or for ‘cutting a rug’ as they used to say in the good old days.
The cost for this fun packed day is $35.00 per person. Reservations will be accepted until June 7th – but don’t wait. You can call or email one of the committee members now to reserve your spot.
